The Apprentice (15)

Main Auditorium Balcony, Monday 2 Dec 2024, 19:00 Subtitled Screening - ends at 21:32

The establishment of the Trump empire is portrayed in this historical biopic of how a young Donald Trump (Sebastian Stan) came to power through his real estate business and the underbelly of the political machinations that drove him to be the man he is today.

In the 1970s, a young Donald Trump, determined to carve out his own legacy, turns his attention to reshaping the New York skyline. His path to power crosses with lawyer and notorious political fixer Roy Cohn (Jeremy Strong), who recognises Trump’s unrelenting ambition and thirst for success. Seeing in him an ideal protégé, Cohn mentors Trump, knowing he has found someone willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve victory.

Following its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, ‘The Apprentice’ makes it’s anticipated U.K. release in this darkly funny and gripping tale of greed, power and the establishment of one of the most recognisable faces in politics today.
